    Jordan

    Kingdom of Time

Jordan is a beautiful Middle Eastern country that is known for its rich history and breathtaking landscapes. The best time to visit Jordan for a holiday maker is during the spring (March to May) or autumn (September to November), as the weather is mild and comfortable. During these times, you can explore the country's major attractions, such as the ancient city of Petra, the stunning Wadi Rum desert, and the Dead Sea, which is the lowest point on earth. Other must-see attractions in Jordan include the Roman ruins in Jerash, the Crusader castle of Karak, and the beautiful capital city of Amman. Whether you're interested in history, culture, or outdoor adventures, Jordan has something for everyone.

It is located in the Eastern European Time Zone, which is two hours ahead of Sweden. The local currency is the Jordanian Dinar. The main international airports in Jordan are Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, and King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba. Both airports offer a range of flights to and from major cities around the world.

Swedish citizens can obtain a visa upon arrival at the airport or at the land borders with Jordan. However, it's recommended to apply for an e-visa before traveling to save time at the border. The cost of a single-entry visa is 40 Jordanian dinars (around 575 SEK) and it's valid for 30 days.

SpaceTown has allotment seats on each direct flight with Royal Jordanian Airlines between Stockholm and Amman, year round. Other popular airlines for traveling between Sweden and Jordan are: Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa, Egypt Air, Austrian Airlines, Qatar Airways and Emirates. These airlines offer regular flights between various airports in Sweden, such as Arlanda and Landvetter and Queen Alia International in Amman.
